Restoring Your Backed-Up Data (Optional)
If you previously backed up your island data, you can restore it after resetting your island. Please follow these steps:
1. Insert Your microSD Card
Insert the microSD card that contains your backed-up island data into your Nintendo Switch console.
2. Go to System Settings
From the Nintendo Switch HOME Menu, select “System Settings” on the left sidebar.
3. Select Data Management
Scroll down the left-hand menu and select “Data Management.”
4. Choose Save Data Cloud
Select “Save Data Cloud” from the options on the right.
5. Select Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Scroll down the list of games and select “Animal Crossing: New Horizons.”
6. Download Backup Data
Choose “Download Backup Data” and select the backup you want to restore.
7. Replace Existing Island
A confirmation message will appear, asking if you want to replace your existing island with the backed-up data. Choose “Replace” to restore your old island data.
